Razer Chroma Emulator

If you do not own any RGB devices or wish to see how Chromatics will function, Razer offer a special RGB emulator application which allows you to see what lighting effects will look like on their devices.

To install the Razer Chroma Emulator

  1. Visit the Razer SDK Tooks website: https://developer.razer.com/works-with-chroma/download/

  2. Download the Emulator zip file.

  3. Unblock the zip file and extract the installer.

  4. Run the installer and then open from Start Menu or Desktop shortcut.

  5. Install and launch Chromatics as normal.

Stream Overlay

You can use the Razer Chroma Emulator as neat & unique addition to your stream. When paired with Chromatics your viewers can see all the keyboard/device RGB effects occurring.

To setup stream overlay with OBS

These instructions are for OBS Studio, but the core concepts should remain the same with most major streaming applications.

  1. Open OBS and Razer Chroma Emulator and load your standard OBS profile if you have one.

  2. Add a new Window Capture source to your preferred scene.

  3. Create a name for your new source, such as Chromatics.

  4. Select [RazerChromaEmulator.exe]: Razer Huntsman Elite as your Window source (or other emulator device if preferred.

  5. Leave Window Match Priority as default.

  6. Un-check the Capture Cursor box.

  7. Click okay to save and add the new source to your OBS scene.

  8. Optional: Right-click the new source you created, select Transform and then Edit Transform. You can then use the Crop boxes to remove the black space around the emulator window.

  9. Click on the new source you created, and use the sizing commands to position the window to your personal preferences.

  10. Make sure your new source is on a higher layer than your game capture, so that it will overlay correctly.

  11. Launch Chromatics and FFXIV and you're ready to go.
